First I have read/heard about keeping them in 'register', what does that mean? We have run a few 990's but never had any books on them, or any trouble out of them. What size of tires did they come with factory? Mine has 235-15's on it but the right side(sitting in the tractor seat) rubs the tire when you lower it.
Could this have something to do with the float springs? It feels heavier on that side, but I cant get the springs to adjust.
How would you replace the lift cylinder if need be? I cant seem to find a way to get it out of there! What are some things to look out for and are parts getting hard to find for them? And what about manuals? Ive run 990's before and they seemed to me bullet proof, but Ive never been around any 1190's. Is there anyway to get the year of the machine too? Register refers to sickle knife synch with the guard, sometimes called timing.
After a visit to caseih parts lookup, looks like the 1190 uses an indexable flange at the sickle attachment, just above the ball on the end of the sickle. Tire size varies with serial numbers with a 9.50x15 as the largest. The parts manual shown was issued in `88. JP Thank you. By the looks of it Im supposed to have the 9.50-15's.
