MAP01: Insurgents is the first map of Deus Vult. It was designed by Huy 'Doom Marine' Pham and uses the music track of the midi version of Terminator 3 theme music. The Compet-N records for the map are.
- It figures this 2018 year will end for me on the same note it lasted – doom. Little is known about the makeup of Polish Evangelist, except some of its members also double in Monasterium.Not that I heard that band before either, but listening to any track from Deus Vult it is pretty clear Evangelist is going to preach epic doom. Moreover, the statement opening guitar and devotion to riffs on.
- Deus Vult 2 isn't that good either imo. Though I must admit I like the Heaven level. It was more of the same really. An abomination of the highest order, with stupid. thrown in that made absolutely no sense (I am of course, referring to the ludicrous textures/sprites) and a filesize that is just inexcusable. 174MB for that.?

Suicide Exit: It is possible to end the level early by getting the rocket launcher from Secret #1 and dropping north into the water. If the player hits the nearby wall with the rocket launcher, he can slide under the rocks and exit the level.
Secrets[edit]
- Right at the start, go through the trees on the right side and press the rock wall for a chaingun. (sector 519)
- Enter the building at the start and use the lift to go up. At the next bend, press on the terminal at the southwest corner for an armor. (sector 381)
- On the roadway with lots of zombiemen, you can jump towards the ledge overlooking the Photon Decay Detection Unit building. This ledge has a rocket launcher. (sector 34)
- After entering Secret #3, a teleporter appears behind the trees. Use it quickly and you will wind up at the tunnel entrance before the long roadway. A door will be open here but will close in one second. Use the lift past this door to get a soul sphere. (sector 455)
Bugs[edit]
Three shotgun guys (Things 439 through 441) have no flags set for any of the three difficulty classes, so they do not actually appear in the level.
